Seoul, KOREA ¶ Jun 08, 2012 (Whowired) -- Here is a great news for book lovers; 2012 Seoul International Book Fair will be held at Hall A&B Coex in Seoul from Jun 20 for four days, with the theme of ‘The Future is in Books’. At the biggest fair in Korea, 586 publishers from 20 countries will be present this year. In particular, this year’s book fair focuses on communicating among all the parties in the book industry with three major programs of ‘Talk with Authors’, ‘Book Mentoring’ and ‘Humanity Academy’.
‘Talk with Authors’ is a communication program between writers and readers. Popular contemporary 19 writers including Kim Hun, Eun Hee-kyung and Park Bum-sin will join the program.
‘Humanity Academy’ is prepared to build a bridge for readers to get close to seemingly-distant books in literary, history, classics aesthetics to readers. Renowned critics such as Prof. Choi Jae-chon and Prof. Lee Eo-ryung will give lectures and discuss various humanity topics with readers.
‘Book Mentoring’ is a newly introduced program this year where professionals provide practical career advices for future workforces in the book industry, in three sub-categories of publishing, writing and book design.
