Seoul, Korea ¶ July 09, 2012 -- Kia Motors Company will unveil an interactive video before the launch of the New Sorento R, a mid-sized crossover SUV. In celebration of the inauguration of the new vehicle model, Kia will make available the video on the Kia Motors website and SK Telecom’s Facebook page, while holding a variety of customer events.
The interactive video allows users to choose a storyline of their choice and have personalized experience on the new features and designs of the car through the playing of a game. In parallel with this, Kia will begin a promotional event wherein a number of winners among the Internet users who share the video with their friends can receive free gifts.
To enter, users must become a friend on Kia and SK Telecom official Facebook pages between July 6 and 15 and share the video with other social network friends. The 200 winners will get tickets (2 tickets per winner) to The Dark Knight Rises movie showing on CGV Cheongdam Cinecity for two days between July 20 and 21.
In addition, Kia will hold another event where users send in an answer to a quiz after watching the video on SK Telecom’s Facebook page. The winners among those who sent in correct answers will receive latest LTE smartphones (for 20 winners), high-end earphones (20), and free beverage coupons (5,000).
A Kia official said, “The interactive video is not just a commercial film but something designed to arouse interest in our new car model in a fun way.
