Seoul, July 26 (Whowired) -- LG Electronics will hold a contest for best 3D user-generated videos as part of its campaign to raise awareness on 3D content. Named the “2012 LG Cinema 3D Smart TV UGC Challenge,” the event will last until September from July 25. Anyone with a video camera can take part in as a team or an individual.
The award will be given out into three categories including 3D videos, 2D to 3D videos, and 3D mobile phone videos. The first-place winner will receive 10 million won while others get cash prizes and free camcorders and laptop computers.
In the 3D video category, for example, the top winner will get 10 million won, the second 5 million (2 contestants), and the third 2 million (3 contestants). The company will allow the finalists to use company-provided 3D camcorders and 3D laptops with video editing programs.
