Seoul, Korea, July 27 (Whowired)-- NHN said on Friday that it has applied its original voice recognition technology ‘Link’ to its multilingual communication app, 'NAVER Global Phrase Book'. Empowered by Link, users of the app now only need to speak words to search right equivalent expressions in 13 languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish. The app can also verbalize searched expressions in native language.
Link is a communicative voice recognition technology originally developed by NHN. The technology is expected to be widely applied to NHN’s various smartphone applications for more convenient and speeder information search and better communication. NHN plans to release soon a secretary app with upgraded voice recognition features based on the technology, such as managing daily schedules by voice.
NHN applied Link to the Android version of 'NAVER Global Phrase Book' first, and plans to release the iOS version with Link in August. NHN also set up an experience booth of 'NAVER Global Phrase Book' at Naver Square located in the Incheon airport for overseas travelers in much need of the app.
