Seoul, Korea, Aug 2 (Whowired) -- Asiana Airlines said on August 1 that it has signed an agreement with Japan's MK Taxi to strategic marketing alliance. MK Taxi is one of the largest taxi cab and limousine operating companies in Japan with offices in eight cities such as Tokyo and Osaka. Years ago it was featured in U.S. Time magazine as one of the world's best company in customer service.

Through the latest agreement, Asiana Club members can receive up to 40 percent of discount on MK taxi fares with additional 5 frequent flyer miles for each 1,000 won if they take an MK taxi when traveling from Haneda and Narita airports from Tokyo downtown destinations. The customer, however, must make a reservation before taking the cab through Asiana Club's Tour & Miles site (asianaclub.flyasiana.com) or with the MK Taxi Call Center (1566-7048) to take advantage of the benefits.

To celebrate the alliance, Asiana Airlines will offer a sweepstake event for those fare customers who took a flight from Gimpo to Haneda or from Incheon to Narita and then an MK Taxi until September 30. Lucky winners will receive free domestic flight tickets within Japan and free gift certificates to take an MK Taxi. Asiana will expand the range of the marketing alliance to other cities such as Shanghai and Los Angeles where MK Taxi offices are located.
