SEOUL, Korea, Aug 20 (Whowired) -- SsangYong Motor Company said on August 19 that it had successfully held an event “Summer Off-road Driving School” for SsangYong four-wheel drive SUV drivers. The school was opened from August 18 to 19 at Jeongsun, Gangwon Province, with 60 SUV owners and hundreds of other guests.

The school sessions consisted of a theory class followed by a 55-kilometer driving exercise on the Hwajeol Pass. The scenic drive course in Jeongsun is famous for beautiful sceneries with challenging twists and turns.

Kim Kyeong-wook, an SUV owner who took part in the event, said, “The school was very helpful given I learned so much about driving skills under a variety of road conditions. I will definitely participate in future events.”

SsangYong had invited participants to the event from July 12 to August 5 through its official Facebook page and “Lexton W” brand site and selected 60 teams out of 600 applicants.
