Once a symbol of Seoul’s massive city development -- entombed by pavement and forgotten beneath a lacework of elevated expressways – now, the waterway of Seoul city has become a byword for successful eco-friendly urban restoration project. Though some downplays it is no more than an “artificial” green project, Cheonggyecheon is establishing itself as one of the most popular recreation spots both for Seoulites and foreign tourists in the city.
