[SEOUL=WhoWired] September 26, 2011 -- LG Electronics has launched Optimus EX (aka the LG SU-880) phone notable for its sublime design and high-performance in Korea via SK Telecom, Korean leading wireless carrier starting today.

The model name of Optimus EX was created borrowing such "meaningful" lexicon as 'EXcellent' performance, 'EXclusive' luxury and 'EXciting' entertainment environment. The sequel to the previously successful Optimus 2X comes in at only 9.6mm thick and will feature a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 4-inch 800×480 IPS display, 1GB RAM with 8GB of internal memory, 8MP rear/.3MP front facing cameras, 1080p video recording, full HDMI mirroring and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
