Seoul, KOREA ¶ Feb 23, 2012 (Whowired) -- Save the Children Korea, an international charity focusing on children in the underdeveloped world, has received good reviews for its new TV promotion campaign featuring Claymation (or clay animation) characters such as the red goat, sheep, and camel that rap and dance.
This is considered a new attempt to lighten up campaigns like this because ads appealing to the viewers for donations mostly feature African children suffering from disease and starvation or celebrities urging participation. In contrast, the latest promotion contains messages like “Helping others is easy and fun.”
An organizer with Save the Children said, “Anyone who has donated or spent time with us even just once feels happiness and the true meaning of sharing. We decided to create the public message in order to give more people a chance to have this life-affirming feeling.” For this ad campaign, those in the ad agency and the animation creation company did pro bono work, which made the campaign more meaningful.
