
Thanks to the twisting plots of Korean soap operas and popular Korean bands such as Super Junior — who wowed tens of thousands of locals over three days this weekend in Jakarta — Korean culture and language is no longer a stranger to Indonesia.
The trend seems to be everything Korean. And this, of course, includes their culinary culture.
Korean food used to be hard to find and expensive in Jakarta, one needing to travel to the Senopati area where there were, and still are, several Korean restaurants that serve mostly Korean expatriates.
