LG Optimus L7 to Take Off in Earnest on Global Markets

LG Electronics is launching in earnest its strategic smartphone Optimus L7 in its premium "L-Style" lineup starting in major European countries in early May followed by other strategic markets around the world. LG which teamed up with one of Korea’s most famous boy “idol” groups, Super Junior, to celebrate the launch of LG’s new Optimus L-Series in Asia last month, aims to gain wider presence in the global smartphone market narrowing the gap with its Korean arch-rival Samsung Electronics. The L7 will run off the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system in addition to carrying a 4.3″ display, all crammed into a smartphone chassis that measures a mere 8.7mm thin, coming in a stylish L-style form factor.
