Daewoo Engineering & Construction has developed the built-in shower system for bathrooms. The existing shower system takes so much space in the shower room with the exposed shower head and the piping. But the new built-in system by Daewoo E&C eliminated all these by putting them behind the wall and installed instead the “rain shower,” the square-shaped shower head on the ceiling.
One of the advantages of this system is convenience. The existing system, mostly with one lever only, wastes water by not allowing easy control of water temperature and flow. But the new system adopted a dial-type control by which the user can control temperature and water flow separately.
An official at Daewoo said, “Our built-in shower system hides all the unnecessary parts from the user’s view, thereby making the shower room look like those in a five-star hotel.” Daewoo is preparing to apply for a patent and design patent related to the system while participating in design award events overseas. The company will install the first system in the construction of an apartment complex “Prugio” in the city of Choongju.
