The CTDP certification is one step higher than the Witness Test Data Program (WTDP) certification that requires the presence of UL-dispatched engineers.
Seoul, KOREA ¶ Samsung Electronics has earned the certification called “Client Test Data Program” (CTDP) from Underwriters Laboratories of the United States that allows the company to carry out safety tests in its Suwon LED testing labs on LED lighting devices. This is the first occasion for any Korean companies.
The CTDP certification is one step higher than the Witness Test Data Program (WTDP) certification that requires the presence of UL-dispatched engineers. With the attainment of the latest certification, Samsung will be able to produce the highest-quality LED lighting devices at a lower cost, for on-site inspection could save time and money to secure UL certifications.
Song Young-Hee, the senior executive of Samsung’s LED Business Division, said, “We at Samsung are doing our best to strengthen our capacity to supply high-quality LED solutions to global customers. We will aggressively increase the capacity to respond to rising LED demand.”
