Seoul, KOREA ¶ May 17, 2012 -- LG Electronics has launched a new smartphone model Optimus UI 3.0 that has improved user convenience substantially. Equipped with the new user interface, the Optimus UI 3.0 has new features such as Quick Memo™, Unlock, and smart camera.

Unveiled the first time in March on the Optimus Vu: model, Quick Memo allows the user to write memos and draw pictures with a fingertip without running an additional application. The Unlock function permits the unlocking of the phone device regardless of in what way the phone is turned. Once the lock is released, the user can connect directly to phone calling, message sending, or picture-taking.

The “time machine” camera feature can help capture the image immediately before the camera button is pressed so that the user can choose best pictures. For example, the user can avoid taking pictures again when she doesn’t like the image because of blinking or for any other reasons. The new model also has the voice activation feature that allows the user to take pictures with a voice command such as “cheese.”
