[SEOUL, Korea=whowired] July 4, 2012--Medical equipment specialized manufacturer VOTEM Co., Ltd.(CEO Moon-Seok Kang, www.votem.kr) revealed that it “participated in ‘2012 Bogota Global First-Class Korean Product Exhibition’ held in Bogota, Colombia from June 21st – 24th and achieved export consulting result worth 2.5 million dollars.

‘2012 Bogota Global First-Class Korean Product Exhibition’ was held by KOTRA in celebration of 50th anniversary of diplomatic relation establishment between Korea and Colombia, and to support advancement of Korean companies by promoting in the non-pioneered market in Central/South America the products selected as global first-class products by the government last year.

VOTEM conducted export consulting with human body-use patient monitoring device VP-1200, VP-1000, V-700, VO-100 and animal-use patient monitoring device V12, V10, V7, V1 at this exhibition, and contracted for exports with Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, and Ecuador.

These products are characteristic in that the module upgrade do not require disassembling the products, but can be achieved by mere S/W upgrade. Just by inserting SD card at the back of the product without disassembly, the main board and modules can be upgraded with a few button touches so as to easily resolve the complaints of the user and improve the product performance, and F-COST of the clients can be reduced to the level of almost zero.

In case of products of other companies, the module upgrade requires the tool separately developed and distributed by the manufacturer. Also, the upgrade had to be executed after disassembling the product and removing the module, so there were complaints that it required a large F-COST such as collecting the products and renting replacement equipment.

VOTEM CEO Moon-Seok Kang stated that “VOTEM products were selected for the next-generation department of global first-class products hosted by Ministry of Knowledge and Economy, and achieved sales of 2.7 billion KRW (2.2 million KRW in exports), drawing positive responses from domestic/foreign markets” and that “through this exhibition, we will be active in winning the Central/South America market which remains largely non-pioneered.”

In the meantime, VOTEM Co., Ltd. is medical equipment specialized company that researches, develops, manufactures, and sells patient monitoring system for human and patient monitoring system for veterinary.
