Seoul, KOREA ¶ Jan 09, 2012 (Whowired) -- A new space for children has opened in the Seoul Zoo in Gwacheon. The HobbyIn World, the experience museum for children up to 18 of age, is the place for plastic models, die casting models, ball-jointed dolls, teddy bears, quilt dolls, Oriental paper craft, and graffiti arts.
Three years in the making, the curators of the HobbyIn World took so much care to combine educational elements with fun. For example, the visitor can learn the basic principles of the automobile engine, wireless communication, and the electric motor after driving the remote-controlled car.
One of the most popular programs at the museum is the electric aircraft experience. The children can learn the theory of aerodynamics by experimenting how the aircraft takes off through the force of lift while they assemble an airplane. The museum is open seven days a week from 10 am to 7:30 pm (10 am to 9:30 pm during summer vacation).
