Seoul, KOREA ¶ Jan 30, 2012 (Whowired) -- LG U+ (www.lguplus.com) is putting in extra efforts to improve the service quality of the 4G LTE (long-term evolution), 3G, and Wi-Fi networks by mobilizing the company’s employees for quality monitoring.
LG U+ had begun the LTE service in July 2011, the first commercial deployment in Korea. In December, the company finished installing the national network in 84 cities including Seoul and surrounding areas. It will expand the service coverage area to county levels within a few months.
In order to assure stable service quality, LG U+ has given the LTE phone to 6,000 of employees so that they can report any problem while in use. In addition, the company distributed free-of-charge applications for checking the service quality and the speed.
