Seoul, KOREA ¶ Mar 09, 2012 (Whowired) -- LG Electronics has opened on March 8 a new integrated social media site “Social LG Electronics (http://social.lge.co.kr).” It is an upgraded version of the previous The Blog corporate site, with the company’s Facebook and Tweeter pages rolled into one.
Social LG Electronics is divided into three categories: LG Story, View, and Conversation. “LG Story” will carry stories related to social contribution, design, and marketing activities of the company posted by 70 in-house bloggers. “View” will consist of a section filled by 60 partner bloggers and a section contributed by influential opinion leaders on technology, culture, and society.
The third category “Conversation” will be the space where anyone can post messages or discuss about an issue without any posting length limits. An LG official said, “We are going to make an open media space where everyone can say what’s one their mind, all based on our philosophy of the company that communicates freely with customers.”
