[Seoul=Whowired] March 1, 2012 -- GM Korea has launched the Chevrolet Spark Tattoo Edition and Spark Stripe Edition, which go on sale tomorrow.
“The two special edition models were specially designed for female car buyers who want to appeal to their feminine side and young customers who wish to express their sporty, dynamic style through their car,” said Jennifer Lee, GM Korea Managing Director of Marketing. “These colorful and stylish models will bring a fresh breeze to the Korean car market, where monotonous colors – mostly black, silver and white – dominate.”
The Spark Tattoo Edition was inspired by the massive popularity of the Pink Spark, which was one of GM Korea’s best-selling models in 2011. With a choice of pink and white exterior colors, the two most popular Spark colors in 2011, the Tattoo Edition features beautiful stylish decals on the sides and front, along with 15-inch white-painted alloy wheels and outside rearview mirror caps in pink or white.
The Spark Tattoo Edition offers a pink interior for the first time in the Korean market. In response to customer demand for a more feminine interior, it features pink accents on the motorcycle-style meter cluster, instrument panel, dashboard and door trim.
The Spark Stripe Edition features a bold stripe decal that stretches across the hood and the roof. Eight exterior colors are available: black, white, silver, blue, Iceland blue, red, brown and green. In addition, the Stripe Edition features 15-inch black-painted alloy wheels, adding more sportiness.
The Spark Tattoo Edition is priced from KRW 11.33 million and the Stripe Edition is priced from 11.44 million. GM Korea is carrying out a variety of marketing promotions for the Spark Tattoo Edition and Stripe Edition. Customers who participate in special online activities on the Spark website (http://spark.chevrolet.co.kr) between March 5 and March 31 will have the chance to win luxury cosmetics, high-end espresso machines and drink coupons in a lucky draw.
