The cheering song and music by Korean well wishers and pop artists will reverberate in London Olympic Stadiums for Korean Olympic athletes
Seoul, Korea ¶May 24, 2012--Kia Motors is offering the opportunities to average Korean people to become the cheerleaders for Korean national teams headed to London Olympics.
The joint project with National Gugak Center will have 2,500 well-wishers participating in the music video production and promotion through which they would sing the slightly differently arranged version of K Pop songs to be more like Gugak or Korean traditional music for Korean Olympic athletes aiming gold at the global sports events in London.
The people from all walks of life will be appearing in the video along with famous singers, Korean traditional or Gugak musicians, and athletes to root for Korean athletes. The video will be more of LipDub type combining lip synching and dubbing and conveying the support message. The video will be shown at the Korean booth in London throughout the whole sports event.
Those interested in taking part as cheerleaders representing Korea can submit the application at the corporate website from May 25th to June 7th. After the event, Kia Motors will donate the cars such as Sorento R and K5 appeared on the video project.
A staff at Kia Motors said Kia Motors joined the project to root for Korea athletes while at the same time to promote Korean traditional music and K-Pop. He said he was pleased to produce the video showing 2,500 cheering crowd that will surely raise the morale and fighting spirit of Korean national Olympic athletes.
