Seoul, KOREA ¶ Apr 11, 2012 (Whowired) -- Price cutting in the retail industry is all the rage. The trend started last year when some electronic appliance retailers sold TVs at half prices. Interpark, one of Korea’s major online purveyors, will do the same by selling a few select models of digital devices at deep discounts.
Beginning at 10 am on April 12, Interpark will take reservations for the 9.7-inch Android 4.0-equipped SmartPad at a half price. This is a continuation of the March 29 promotional event in which the retailer offered a limited number of the i-Muse TX97 SmartPad model, which was sold out within 3 minutes after the launch. This time, it will offer 500 SmartPad devices at the price of 279,000 won.
In addition, Interpark will follow up with another promotion on April 16 in which it will showcase the 32-inch full HDTV (Smart iTV-SMT320) at 399,000 won. The event will begin at 10 am on the day for the first 500 customers who make the reservation. The TV is manufactured by a Korean company InsideDigital, the 15-year-old maker of digital TVs, monitors, and electronic dictionaries.
