[WONJU--Whowired] November 24, 2011 -- As the result of recent investigation by Continence Society, 41.4% of all women in Korea were found to have urinary incontinence.

Urinary incontinence is a disease as common as cold or sinus infection. Most urinary incontinence curers are in the form of injecting into vagina, and thus bring about severe sense of humiliation when used.

Medical equipment manufacturer Furun Medical’s(CEO Byung-Mo Kang, www.furunmedical.com) external urinary incontinence curer had its clinical test results published as an article on the International Continence Society.

According to the article, Furun Medical’s external urinary incontinence curer had clinical test executed against women in 50s~60s, and as the result, about 94% of the patients were found to be satisfied.

Also in the article, it mentions that the device can check the movement such as contraction/relaxation of pelvic muscle through the computer monitor while wearing clothes without injecting an apparatus into the vagina of the female, and thus is introduced as an effective method that can cure urinary incontinence without discomfort.

Furun Medical revealed that “we have supplied the external urinary incontinence curer to domestic ob/gyn clinics, urology clinics, digestive internal medicine clinics, rehabilitation clinics, health center and such, and received good responses in treatment of urinary incontinence, constipation, and bowel incontinence, and recently we have released a portable product that can be used at home by individuals.”

In the meantime, Furun Medical has acquired patent rights in 15 major countries such as U.S., Europe, and Japan regarding the source technology related to such external urinary incontinence curer, and recently concluded the export contract worth 15 million dollars with an Australian business, in turn drawing the attention of the industry, and is conducting foreign exports to Germany, Japan, Middle East, Southeast Asia and such to a great expectation.
