[Seoul = WhoWired] June 16, 2011 - Fifteen Samsung Smart TVs are being sold in every minute!

On June 15th, Samsung Smart TV has finally reached the mark of accumulated 2 million sales only three months after its global release. Samsung Smart TV was introduced to the world stage in March, and it went on to pass 500,000 sales in early April, and hit 1 million sales before the month. In this record, Samsung Smart TV has been sold at the speed of 25,000 units in every day, and 15 units in every minute.

Geographically, 730,000 units have been sold only in North America, the largest TV market in the world, followed by 710,000 units in Europe including advanced markets like the UK, Germany, France. Even in the regions like Middle East, Africa, South-East Asia where Samsung Smart TV was introduced a bit late, 170,000 units have been sold so far, and it seems sure that the number doesn’t want to stop there.

This global success of Samsung Smart TV is considered to attribute to customers-suited product line-ups, optimized UI, creative smart functions and rich contents.
