SEOUL, Korea ¶ Nov 21, 2011 (Whowired) Cosmetics using extract from Cauliflower mushroom is set to advance into the global market.  Cauliflower mushroom (Sparassis), a wild edible mushroom available in the fall, had been successfully transformed into premium cosmetics rich in antioxidants and skin-lightening capabilities, funded and developed by a local agency in Jeollanamdo province in South Korea.

Forest Resource Research Center in Jeollanamdo province announced that its Cauliflower mushroom cosmetics successfully got an approval of patent registry in September and received a green light from an internationally renowned cosmetics brand to supply the product, paving the way for its wider presence and recognition on the global stage.

Extract from Cauliflower is known for being highly effective against wrinkles, along with other merit including restoring damaged skin; anti-aging effects; keeping healthy skin and other great effects to enhance your skin condition. Cauliflower mushroom cosmetics was already branded as Magic Advanced Series under the premium MIOGGI brand line-ups in Hong Kong market and its presence will expand into other regions including US, Latin America, China, Japan and Taiwan.

Cauliflower mushroom contains, reportedly, immune boosting effect in animals and humans. According to a research to find out the anti-obesity effect of water-soluble extract of Cauliflower mushroom, the mysterious mushroom has some anti-obesity effects. And animal studies have shown Cauliflower or Sparassis crispa has potential anticancer and immune enhancing activities.
