For fashion, Korea is making a stronger statement on the world scene with many talented designers whose collections are catching the eyes of international fashion gurus. The recent, six-day Seoul Fashion Week S/S 2012, organised at Seoul Trade Exhibition & Convention (SETEC), is another successful proven record as it attracted over 15,000 visitors a day with a total of 127 brands participated in the shows and the fashion and beauty fair.
About 200 buyers and 100 press members from countries including the US, France, Italy and Britain attended the show, reflecting the growing interest in South Korea's fashion industry. Representatives from Siam Center, Bangkok's leading fashion shopping centre, also participated in this event.
The Seoul Fashion Week S/S 2012 has Korea's top designers paraded bold and innovative pieces. Among them are such famous names as Lie Sang Bong, the founding father of modern Korean fashion; Juyoung Lee, a leader in men's fashion; and young designer Jaehwan Lee, famous for his edgy-yet-feminine appeal.
