A New Concept Plug-In Compact Car 'Smart Forvision'

[SEOUL = WhoWired] September 01, 2011 -- Daimler teamed up with BASF to come up with "Smart Forvision" -- a new concept plug-in vehicle which boasts environmentally friendly and stylish design. The Smart Forvision, brainchild of a cooperative development between Daimler, industry leading electric vehicles and BASF, global chemical enterprise, focuses on energy efficiency, maintenance of room temperature and compact design as well as safety and reliability.

The concept car, which will be on display at Frankfurt Motor Show, will pave the way for the popularization of electric car for the foreseeable future. Daimler AG is a first carmaker has succedeed in releasing four plug-in vehicle models in the market; Smart Fortwo Electric Drive or Smart Fortwo (ED) is regarded as a trailblazing electric car model which can be run on battery. BASF, in the meantime, has been successfully developing eco-friendly solution in the next-generation auto models.
