
[SEOUL=WhoWired] September 14, 2011 -- Hanwha group (Hanwha), one of leading conglomerates in Korea, set to combat intesyfing desertification in China with its blanket support for China's shift into clean energy moves. Hanwha announced on Sep 14th that it struck an agreement with China's Ninxia autonomous province and Lingwu city, through which the Korean group will make comprehensive support to combat China's desertification problems by using its high-end solar energy technology.
As part of its support program, Hanwha will provide its solar-energy infrastructure to Linwu city free of charge; Hanwha Solar One will offer solar panels, while Hanwha Solar Energy will be responsible for building the related power infrastructures there.
