
Seoul, KOREA ¶ Mar 8, 2012 (Whowired) –Doho and Korea Childhood
Leukemia Foundation host a cake baking event for children suffering from cancer
on March 8th. The children who spend all day in hospital are now out
for baking excursion with Doho staff. The
event took place as part of Doho Day activities for the fashion company. Under
the theme “Day of Happy
One,” Doho employees
reach out to help others.
Also 1% of the
cake sales will be delivered to the Foundation to pay for the kids’ hospital bill. The CSR activity was designed
to support the children who have been physically and emotionally exhausted
shuttling back and forth from hospital to home.
One
parent of 10 year old son with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer said, “It has been
a while since we baked a cake and laughed together the last time. I am grateful
to the Doho staff for sponsoring this event and for giving us this precious
moment.”
Kim Young-seok,
Managing Director of Hyegong Doho, said he was pleased to have the children on
Doho Day for this meaningful event and added the company wants to commemorate the
Doho Day by giving back more to the customers and wishes to further support the
children with cancer.
