Seoul, KOREA ¶ Mar 16, 2012 (Whowired) --The Seoul Central Post Office said on March 14 that there are many companies and public organizations taking advantage of customized stamps for their own promotional purposes. For example, Korean Airlines will begin a one-month campaign until mid-April to print special stamps with customer’s pictures in them.
Korea Express is also active in promoting itself through stamps, especially since it has been under the CJ Group umbrella in late 2011. Korea Asset Management Corporation in January made a special order for 2,050 sets of stamps and framed stamps to commemorate its 50th year since founding.
Educational institutions such as Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Chungnam National University have also ordered customized stamp sets for the celebration of a new memorial hall and the 60th year since founding, respectively.
Hong Dong-Ho, the marketing manager at the Seoul Central Post Office, said, “Customized stamps are one of a kind that you can never find anywhere else. Because of this uniqueness, it seems, companies are interested in using stamps for their marketing tool.”
