[SEOUL=WhoWired] September 28, 2011 -- LG Electronics' 'Healthy Asia with LG' campaign, a global outreach program to offer free medical checkup service for diagnosing a possible breast cancer staged in Kazakhstan, has reaped meaningful results, with the number of people in the country who benefits from the LG's initiative exceeding 50,000; and 25,000 people (approximately 46% of all the beneficiaries) were diagnosed with as having a tumor during the check, paving the way for much earlier treatment for the lucky beneficiaries.
Sinc 2008, LG has been operating the moving medical center (bus equipped with medical equipment) for the campaign, together with Healthy Asia, an international NGO for health cause. The compelling call-to-action CSR campaign by LG, has been centered on the outskirts of the Central Asian nation, where basic infrastructure for medical services significantly fall behind the other areas.
