Sounds familiar? Maybe it happened to you and perhaps someone you know, but you definitely know what I’m talking about. I will show you how to conquer all your fears which the W-Day may bring upon you. Hopefully, this survival guide may help other brides and grooms to be in pursuing their perfect day.
Find the time for yourselves
I think this is the most helpful advice I can give you. As you may suppose, a wedding day is very hectic. A lot of people are around the couple, and you and your significant other are always at the center of attention.
You may be the most extrovert person in the world, but you still need to take a break. Recharge your batteries at some point during a day. The best option is to make a 1.5h gap between the ceremony and reception. Hide somewhere. Make them wonder where you are.
First of all you need a back-up plan regarding a wedding location. It is one of the most important parts of a wedding planning. If you live near or on the coast you might want a wedding on a beach. Hot summer season is not the best time to have an outdoor wedding. Weather is very changeable. It may get very uncomfortable because of the heat.
You have to make sure to prepare your guests that the ceremony will happen on sand. Make cute little welcome bags for them in which you put sunscreens, water and hand fans. Go crazy with floral robes for your guests creating that Hawaii effect even if you’re still stuck on some beach on the coast of New Jersey. Cover the seating area in order to make shade.
While you are looking for a perfect place, you might discover so many beautiful wedding locations. From wedding venues on beaches to deck-houses down to botanic garden restaurants. You simply need the wedding venue you feel most comfortable in.
Remember to Eat
Ok, this may be obvious, but many people just forget to eat because everything is hectic and busy. Then, you are just too excited to eat. However, you will want to consider regular eating if you want to dance in the evening, holding each other’s hand and with her head on his shoulders. Not to mention you do not want to crash in bed on your first night as a wed couple.
A Wedding Vow
Wedding vow is something many struggle with. It is not that they don’t know what to write, it is just that they don’t know how to structure it. Once you finish it, you will be very pleased with yourself and think of it as the best piece of writing you have ever written. That being said, you will be the happiest while reading it to your partner. Don’t be nervous about it for it will bring the tears of joy to them, as long as it comes from your heart.
Last but Not Least
No matter how scared or nervous or paranoid you are, the most important thing is to love each other. That’s what you both agreed to after all. If you have this sorted out, there is no way you can ruin your own special day.
Not everything is this simple. Easier said than done, I know, but keep in mind you want to have this day remembered not only by you two, but by your friends and family. You all want to save these special memories as long as you shall both live.
